Kashmiri Kahwa
Kahwa is a traditional tea from the Kashmir region of India. This drink has an aromatic and nutty flavour with a hint of sweetness. Kashmiri kahwa is usually served hot and is consumed after meals or during winter to keep the body warm and to settle the stomach. It also has several health benefits like aiding digestion, boosting immunity and reducing stress.

Ingredients
2 tbsp tea leaves
2 cup water
10-12 strands saffron
1 inch cinnamon stick
1 cardamom, crushed
1/2 tsp dried rose petals
3 tbsp California walnuts, chopped roughly
Method
1. Heat water in a pan.
2. Add all the ingredients except walnuts.
3. Switch the flame off immediately and allow the ingredients to steep for 4 minutes covered.
4. Strain the kahwa in 2 cups.
5. Add walnut slivers and an additional sprinkling of dried rose petals and/or saffron strands.
6. Serve hot.
